Eureka! began developing the current MGPTS design in 1997 as a replacement for the old style General Purpose Tent used since the late 1940s. The MGPTS Type III design eliminates the need for center poles to obtain clear, unobstructed interior space. This proprietary (and patented) arch system creates a structure which distributes wind, rain and snow loads away from the fabric and directly to the arch (or support system), making a stronger, more durable fielded structure. The MGPTS Type III is perfect for medical facilities, troop billeting, command and control, field service support, emergency/disaster relief, maintenance functions and storage.
